Cant leave the app or it loses your spot!

Was disappointed to find when I had an hour rise time on some bread and launched another app, that Drop lost my place in the recipe. I thought with the timer going it would run in the background and keep my place. Now I have to annoyingly click thru to the place I was at in the recipe to finish the bread.

Not sure Ill be keeping this thing.
